Don't Get High….. Get Well

I wanted to thank you for your compassion and insight. Since my consultation, I have felt better and been able to tolerate the chemo therapy, radiation and pain associated with my cancer. Your recommendations were better than any I have received to tolerate this treatment. I was working as an actor when I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. The medicine used to treat my cancer is Lupron. It works by stopping the body’s production of testosterone. Although effective, the medicine has a number of very pronounced side effects.

The most difficult for me to deal with is the depression. Like most adults I have had periods of depression, but nothing like this. I often awake feeling listless and uninterested in life. It has made getting better harder.

Within an hour of taking my first dose of medical marijuana I felt better. People who knew me were asking if I’d booked a job or something. I was happy for the first time in a long time, and now had something to lift the cloud of crippling depression caused by my cancer medication.

As things have moved along I have found a comfortable dose of medical marijuana and feel much better about my chances of fully recovering from the Prostate Cancer. Being in a better mood is helping me fight my disease. I’ll always be grateful to Dr. Allan Frankel for introducing me to this treatment.

I was diagnosed with kidney cancer 2 1/2 yrs ago. The nurses at my doctor’s office told me, ” You should not go through all this pain. Go get a recommendation.” I’ve been using it over a year now and it’s changed my life.

With just one kidney left, I’m concerned about medications. They have so many side effects. I don’t want dialysis or to be on any waiting list. I have to be careful and this is very safe.

Without medical cannabis I’d be miserable – physically, mentally…totally miserable. I would let go of life. It helps with chemo…my appetite comes back. I tried marinol and just threw it up. I couldn’t hold down 90% of what I swallowed, so I had stopped medication until I started with the medical cannabis.

I was in constant pain – it helps a lot with pain in my spine & pelvis. It helps with insomnia…otherwise I can’t sleep. It also gives me a good attitude. Those medications make you so irritable. You have to have a good attitude when you have cancer.

I feel good now – happy as a jaybird! I’m going to be around for a long time…

As many have said Dr. Frankel is indeed a doctor invested in his research and his patients. I was very impressed with my visit there, and impressed that they discuss the fact that not everyone leaves with a rec. I really wanted to just discuss whether natural medicine would be applicable to my health problems, but there’s very little literature on it.

I think I would’ve preferred a more thorough medical evaluation (i brought like, 500 pages of documentation I didn’t need to bring) but the place doesn’t strike me as sketchy in the least as it doesn’t seem the kind of place you can go into and say “oh yeah I have anxiety” and they shove a rec at you.

I really do like the fact that we actually discussed, at length, my various medical issues and how medical marijuana might be applicable to them. I also like that we were able to discuss different strains and their pros and cons…again a positive as opposed to just charging some exorbitant fee and throwing a rec at whoever walks in the door.

I’m still not sure if medical marijuana is for me, but I really felt like I walked away from this experience with a lot more knowledge than I walked into it with.

Easy, informative, intelligent, humorous, logical, sweet. Like going to your uncle’s office for a straight talk, with relevant questions, important information and a sense that everyone in the office cares about what they’re doing. Dr. Frankel used a molecule model to explain the properties in marijuana vs. hemp. He is incredibly knowledgeable and can explain why different strains work better for varying medical problems. At one point there were three people speaking with Dr. Frankel about their issues, one was nearly refused based on his approach. It was VERY interesting. Dr. Frankel has a passion and intelligence about this and along with his super DOOPER MD,ESQ, colleague, I would recommend this office to any serious person looking for help here. I’d give it 10 stars if I could :)

Dr. Frankel is great! He is an advocate for medical marijuana and a practicing doctor for over 25 years. He is thorough, informative and knowledgeable about the holistic value of medical marijuana.

Besides, he’s cute!

Dr. Frankel is a great doctor who truly cares about his patients and their well being. He is professional, smart and easy going. I had a great experience visiting with him and highly recommend him to all.
