  • I am curious by what you mean? Could you re-send and explain? Are you including cannabis in “substance abuse”. Perhaps you were enjoying a great Bubba Kush when you were writing the comment? :)

  • I have always felt that at least 1/2 of my patients in AA were using cannabis to help them deal with their mood issues as well as using it for “harm reduction” for alcohol or other substance issues. I feel quite certain that if Dr. Bob were alive today, he would support the use of medical cannabis under a physician’s care.

    Also, using cannabis in tincture form avoids the smoking and “smell” issues. I have always encouraged my substance “issue” patients to consider using medical cannabis

  • This is often the case. One of my interests is using very controlled cannabis therapy as a “Harm Reduction” method for substance abuse. Of course, there are many folks out there who still believe cannabis use in this area would just be adding another drug. I wish they could speak with my patients who have reduced or eliminated other drugs by safely using cannabis.

  • There is no simple answer to this. I have worked with a number of patients who are using Cannabis to help with Substance Abuse issues and would be happy to visit with you if this is potentially one thing you wish to explore.
