We often hear that patients are taking benzodiazepines or opiates that no longer help them, but they take them anyway to avoid a horrible withdrawal. This is VERY COMMON.

However, I have never in my life heard someone say that Cannabis is not helping them any longer but they are still using it to stay out of withdrawal.

The anti-cannabis lobby, although floundering, is using legitimate science journals and “legitimate doctors” to help them show SOME piddling reason as to why Cannabis is BAD.

One of the most common “mistakes” is confusing association with a disease vs treatment for a disease. A patient can be, usually is, on cannabis because it is helping them. It is NOT inexpensive and there are social costs to be for using cannabis. People/patients use cannabis because it makes them feel better. Simple. Period.

Any person trained by any professional medical type school is well aware of the difference between “association” and “causality”. It is ludicrous to consider trained professionals ignoring this extremely basic statistical fact. If you drink water and crash your car, were they “associated” or “causal”?

Doctors and scientists out there, please don’t sell your souls for money and publication. It lowers your professional standard and will ultimately lead to nobody listening to you. This is very basic and simple stuff and I thank you for making it so easy

Allan Frankel, MD Dr Allan Frankel is one of the few physicians in the US who truly understands Cannabis as a medicine. All treatments suggested have been well studied. Every patient seen by Dr Frankel is given a personally created Treatment Plan created with the patient's specific issues defined. Plant medicine requires "tuning" of the dosing. Dr Frankel works with his patients thru a messaging portal. The use of this portal, allows quick and simple follow up contact with Dr Frankel. Patients are not charged for these messages, as this is how Dr Frankel has learned what he has learned. Follow up appointments in person or by phone/video are also available when needed

Cannabis May Prevent COVID-19 Infections

Early studies in both Israel and Canada show findings consistent with CBD's effect on COVID-19's ability to take hold in the lungs or the gastrointestinal tract. If the receptors are reduced, the viral infection and pulmonary toxicity should be reduced.
