Another brilliant study showing more nightmares from Cannabis. In this case, they picked some patients who have had multiple “Cannabis Addiction” diagnoses. Other than the Medical Board of California accused me personally of Cannabis Addiction, I have read a lot about the subject. It is pretty unusual, and if you read my last blog on Addiction, you will know that anyone who uses cannabis but whose life is in order, is NOT an addict; regardless of amount used. That is individual and personal.
So, when are patients diagnosed with cannabis addiction? I believe the most common is for young kids who get in trouble and as a settlement, go to rehab instead of juvenile hall. The diagnosis is Cannabis Addiction. I am not saying that people cannot overuse cannabis; anything can be over used and be detrimental to one’s overall life and happiness. However, I believe it just makes common sense that young adults having multiple “diagnostic events”, clearly have had a very traumatic and drug and conflict driven life. They are by no means the typical cannabis user. How many friends do you have who seem to be impaired by cannabis? At the same time, I bet many of us know troubled young adults who use cannabis to try hold their life and mind together. I would expect that this tiny sampling MIGHT have IQ drops or perhaps it is just ability taking tests?
MAYBE, their IQ’s would have been LOWER without the cannabis??
