THC-V BENEFITTING NEUROPATHY

In November I wrote two articles on my early observations of patients using topical formulations containing THC-V. I am now able to provide some follow up information on its effect. Over the past month, we have become aware that topically applied cannabinoids, including THC-V, can provide relief for local neuropathic pain and neuropathy.

THC-V and Neuropathy

One of the most common areas of the body for neuropathy and neuropathic pain that severely compromises patients’ quality of life is their feet. Many patients’ neuropathy affects the bottom of their feet, decreasing sensation to the point they cannot feel the floor. These patients often become confined to a wheelchair due to the inability to walk and maintain their balance.

This being said, I was very pleased to hear from a patient who has recently begun including topical THC-V in her treatment regimen. She reported that she was simply out in her garden walking around barefoot. For the first time in many years she was able to feel the blades of grass under her feet.

In neuropathy or neuropathic pain cases, there are some early indications the dose of THC-V administered topically may be decreased over the first few weeks. The patients may use a lower dose and often can skip days.

These are early findings and worthy of further research.

With promising results like these, I am recommending the use of THC-V more often. Unfortunately at this point THC-V is not widely available and supplies may be limited at times. Hopefully more people will be growing and providing THC-V strains for use in the future.

Every patient seen by Dr Frankel is given a personally created Treatment Plan created with the patient's specific issues defined. Plant medicine requires "tuning" of the dosing. Dr Frankel works with his patients thru a messaging portal. The use of this portal, allows quick and simple follow up contact with Dr Frankel. Cannabis May Prevent COVID-19 Infections

Early studies in both Israel and Canada show findings consistent with CBD's effect on COVID-19's ability to take hold in the lungs or the gastrointestinal tract. If the receptors are reduced, the viral infection and pulmonary toxicity should be reduced.
