To Some Growers

I have been in many online forums as well as some personal conversations with MANY growers who oppose legalization because it will hurt their income. Those who know me, know how I would feel about this position. Here is the majority of a letter I shared with an online forum concerning this issue:

My dream is very simple. I would like cannabis to be as legal as any herb; nothing more, nothing less. The pharmaceuticals can use this very special herbr; why not? All of us can grow, buy, sell these herbs.

Work by anyone in new herbal industry can will look, or SHOULD look at what the new market needs are. What are new niches in which I can make money.

Most people will never grow, so there will always be a market for cannabis. The market for average flowers will fall a lot, but, God help me with this one, but it should. The market for boutique weed will blossom.

The huge, huge issue I believe anti-legal supporters need to seriously look at is that dosed cannabis cannabidiol and soon THCV whole plant medicine IS HERE!! Plants need to be grown. LOTS of plants. Genetics need to be cultivated. Studies must be done.

1. There will always be a huge market for stony smokeable bud
2. We should ALL favor total legalization and growers, as all the rest of society need to move along with the changes and SHOULD be leaders in this. Those who step up to meet what is happening medically with cannabis will reap huge rewards with total legalization.
3. It is just not rational, in my opinion, to allow oneself to believe that maintaining an illegal status quo to protect income is reall a very good idea – or more important -one that has any long term legs.
