I don’t yet know the answer, but have an idea and will know for certain in a few days, at which time I will post the results.
To begin with, I am not “against” juicing cannabis leaves, but I have always wondered how much cannabis is really in a juice. So, I am following the instructions:
1. 25 large fan leaves, added 5 more for good measure, from an Omrita 2:1 rich CBD strain were
picked.
2. Their wet weight was 3.5 grams TOTAL
3. Instead of making the juice, I am sending the leaves to The Werc Shop, the best lab in California,
for evaluation. I will post these results.
4. The claimed mg of cannabinoids per juice is over 500 mg.
However, let’s step back for a moment and think about what the results are likely to show.
Let’s that when dry, the leaves weigh 2 grams (they will probably be less).
So, the claim of having 500 mg in 2 grams of material means it is nearly like low grade hash. Typical hash maxes out at 50% cannabinoids. I have seen a little higher and sometimes up to 600 mg/gram of cannabis oil/hash oil.
So, here, we are to believe there will be the equivalent of 1 gram of hash from the two grams of leaves. Make it 10 grams of leaves; it won’t much matter.
My guess is that the TOTAL cannabinoids will be around 5 mg in all the leaves. That means that it is not 500 mg, but single digit numbers.
I may be off a bit on the 5 mg, but it won’t be anywhere close to 500 mg.
